Version 7.2 of Apogee StoreFront, ECO3’s web-to-print solution, was released on June 6, 2026. This version expands online store customization options, adds productivity improvements and serves as an efficient ordering portal for the Apogee prepress workflow.
Use any font to customize your stores
To customize the look of stores, StoreFront has always provided a library of open source fonts, such as Verdana, Ubuntu, PT Sans and PT Serif.
With version 7.2, you can now use fonts from services such as Google Fonts, Adobe Fonts and Monotype MyFonts. You can either host the fonts yourself, provided the font license allows this, or use fonts hosted by services such as Google fonts. In the example below the 'Anta' font is used for category names.

How to install fonts
- In StoreCenter, go to Advanced > Custom Fonts
- Create a new font by clicking the plus button in the lower left corner
- Give the new font a name
- Add the code to embed the font. This is the <link> or @import snippet from your font provider but it may also point to the font file hosted on your own website, a free public GitHub site or other location. Here are some examples: <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://example.com/fonts/style.css"> or <style>@import url("https://example.com/fonts/style.css");</style>. In the example below the <link> embed code for the Anta font in Google Fonts has been copied to the StoreFront custom font setup.
- Add the CSS properties: specify the font-family (exactly as defined in the CSS) and optionally font-weight and font-style. The example below shows they can be copied from the sample CSS code provided by Google.

Once added, the font becomes available in your store’s Style settings.

Additional improvements to customize stores
- Besides PNG, JPG and GIF images, you can now also use SVG and WEBP for images such as the store logo, the background image or banners.
- The shopping cart icon can be customized in StoreFront 7.2. You can upload your own icon in the Store’s Style tab.

Enhanced shipping services
- For the “UPS Quote” calculation method, the existing Markup and Fixed Fee fields - previously used to increase the shipping cost returned by UPS - can now also be used to decrease it. You can apply a negative value to either the markup percentage or the fixed fee to lower the calculated shipping price.
- A new shipping service called “Weight based Repeating Block Fee” has been added. The weight-based shipping calculation method is based on the already existing “Weight based Fee” calculation method which has been extended with two new options: a repeat counter and a maximum weight limit. Instead of defining price ranges for the full weight spectrum, you can now define prices for a base weight range and specify how many times that range should repeat. If the cart contents exceed the maximum supported weight (base range × repeat count), the shipping service will automatically be hidden at checkout.
Use Order Item Flags on products
Order Items Flags are visual indicators in the order overview that you can use to indicate the status of that item. In version 7.2 you can assign a default Order Item Flag directly on a product. When an order is placed, that default flag will automatically be displayed for the order item. Here are some suggested uses:
- Use a flag to tag all the cards that will be printed on a digital press, so that the press operators can immediately see which items they need to take care of.
- Use a flag to tag products that need to be shipped in a specific way
- Use a flag to tag all pick-and-pack products so that order pickers can easily see which products to collect from the warehouse.
If no flag is set on the product, StoreFront displays the default flag, which can be defined in Advanced > Production Settings > Order Item Flags. For each order item flag, all products that have this particular flag assigned as their default are also listed.

Page count columns added to the Order Excel report
The “1-Order Items” tab in the Excel order report now includes two new columns: “66:Number of Pages (Body)” and “67:Number of Pages (Cover)”. The values reflect the page counts as shown on the order item details page in StoreCenter. For unbound jobs, the page count is recorded in the “66:Number of Pages (Body)” column.
Improved handling of missing images in customizable products
When images are missing in a customizable product, StoreFront aims to prevent creating PDF files that cannot be properly printed. In version 7.2, several safeguards have been implemented:
- StoreFront Admins are now warned when replacing a package for a customizable product, informing them about the fact that Product and Design images will be replaced which may lead to missing images in documents already present in carts or existing orders.
- Shoppers are prevented from checking out or reordering documents that contain missing images. A pop-up message lists the missing images and indicates the image library from which they were removed.
Support for Apogee v15
StoreFront orders can be automatically forwarded to an Apogee workflow to speed up production, reduce the workload of prepress operators and avoid communication hiccups. StoreFront v7.2 has been tested extensively in conjunction with the new version 15 of Apogee.
